Superwoman!… When Sanya Richards, 2003 TAC, NCAA outdoor and indoor 400 champion and 2004 Olympian, was in eighth grade, her mother, Sharon, gave her a necklace that bespoke her daughter’s future. Hanging from the chain was a bullet.

   Some runners you don't forget...Gary Shaw, Hartnell Community College's veteran coach and a 2007 inductee into the California Community College Track & Field Hall of Fame, began his coaching career in 1968 at Redwood High School where he had an 880 yard runner named Robin Williams. The now famous comedian/actor clocked a 1:58.2 two-lapper and was a member of the mile relay (3:19.8) that competed in the state meet.
